SCOTT CORRIDANA native son of Southern California, Scott Corridan was born and raised in Riverside and spent much of his youth molded by the beach and the old-school ranching cultures of Newport, Corona del Mar, and Laguna. In 1994, he established Corridan & Company Design Studios [ www.corridanandco.com ]. Scott’s work has been widely celebrated on Tricks of The Trade for The Fine Living Channel, The Travel Channel, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, NBC’s Life Moments, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition, The Tyra Banks Show on FOX, Jane Buckingham’s Modern Girl’s Guide To Life on the Style Network, and in 2008 HGTV selected Scott as one of 10 finalists for the networks runaway hit show Design Star, which was followed up by appearances nationally on regional news and lifestyle programs including NBC's In The Loop for iVillage, in addition to producing Scott Baio's wedding on VH1's Scott Baio's 46... and Pregnant. Scott's long and loyal list of clients range from the entertainment industry to politics to captains of industry and finance. Scott’s regular advice column Scott’s Garden is read by hundreds of thousands of fans every quarter, as he offers unique, often quirky takes on life’s special moments as told to us by the cast of characters romancing his life’s story. Looking to broaden his reach, Scott launched, in late 2007, White Chocolate label by Scott Corridan, literally the nation's first, West Coast inspired and established, environmentally conscious, couture collection of wedding gowns [www.whitechocolatelabel.com]. Quickly capturing the attention and accolades of the national media along with the support of major retailers like the legendary Kleinfeld Bridal Salon in New York City, White Chocolate label by Scott Corridan is destined to become a legendary couture fashion house firmly rooted in almost two decades of wedding celebration expertise. Scott is thrilled to finally have the opportunity to bring his visions for design, life, love and celebration to an ever broader audience of brides around the United States and beyond our country's border. Scott has a passion for social causes and community efforts dedicated to animals, adult health care and the arts. His volunteer time and professional support extends to his Advisory Role for The Dream Foundation — the nation’s first nationally based organization dedicated to granting terminally ill adults’ last wishes, and Canine Companions — the nation’s largest organization dedicated to training and partnering assistance animals with children and adults across many physical and emotional need levels. Additionally, Scott is a certified ski instructor working with developmentally disabled children and adults through California's Mammoth Mountain Disabled Sports of the Eastern Sierra program. Scott has an unparalleled ability — a true gift — to get straight to the heart of a client’s dreams for entertaining and living. Tapping into emotion and psychology, his work embraces unique, and sometimes challenging, individual needs. “To have the opportunity — through celebration and design — to lift the hopes and lighten the burdens of people everywhere is an incredible honor!”, says Scott of all the work he does and the special causes he invests his heart in. “I’m inspired by people’s true stories — those stories that lay beneath the surface... the things we don’t share with other people, the secrets we hold most dear, the desires who’s names we’re afraid to speak... That’s where the magic is. That’s where we become ‘big’ — doing the job we were meant to do and living the lives we were intended to live.Scott continues, “I often get asked where do I want to be in five years... My greatest wish is that no matter what I’m doing, that those I surround myself with are inspired by what I’ve created and can begin to see their life in a different, brighter light...” Scott welcomes the opportunity to speak to groups of any size in addition to his work with White Chocolate label by Scott Corridan and his regular public and television appearances. |
